MedMark Treatment Centers in Georgia seeks a Compassionate Full Time Substance Use Counselor - in Training. The counselor aids patients through medically assisted treatments, offers coping strategies, and conducts individual and group sessions to support crisis management and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or hold Georgia CIT license.
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Positive, non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward patients.
• Ability to counsel 30-40 patients with documentation each month.
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Facilitate and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per Federal/State regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
