Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Substance Use Counselor-In-Training to guide patients through medically assisted treatments and to conduct individual and group sessions in our outpatient clinic.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, perform biopsychosocial assessments, and help develop aftercare plans while maintaining compliant clinical records. A GA CIT license or active pursuit is required, with experience serving chemically dependent individuals.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or hold current CIT license in GA.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Able to counsel 50-60 patients with documentation monthly.
• Successful background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; deliver services at scheduled intervals; coordinate treatment.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Facilitate and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Maintain current clinical records per federal/state regulations for NTP clinics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Compassionate Full Time Substance U use Counselor-In-Training Needed!

Position Overview

Substance use counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients' progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients' achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with 12 Core Functions of Counseling
• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards or hold current CIT license in the state of Georgia.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Ability to Counsel 50-60 Patients with documentation each month
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen
