Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in Johnson City, TN seeks a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling, conduct assessments, and design treatment plans for a diverse patient population.

The role involves managing a caseload, coordinating care with nurses and providers, and administering urine drug screens, with a typical schedule of 37–40 hours per week.

Strong licensing such as LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LADAC and a commitment to evidence-based MAT approaches are preferred.

Qualifications

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
