Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor for a stable, life‑balanced schedule in an outpatient clinic. Hours are 5:30am–2:00pm, with responsibilities including individual and group counseling and crisis support to patients with opioid use disorder.

The role requires counseling experience and appropriate degrees or certifications. Collaboration with doctors and therapists is essential to ensure comprehensive care and successful recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with a current certification and 1 year of supervision (CAC/CADC or CADC II or MA LADC II).
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Develop and review treatment plans with patients.
• Provide individual and group counseling services.
• Coordinate and integrate services with medical and counseling staff.
• Involve families in the recovery process when possible.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
