Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, Missouri Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) certification (or ability to obtain), and MO Department of Corrections clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Missouri Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) certification required or be able to obtain within 6 months.
• Must be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments of clients’ substance use history and creates individualized treatment plans.
• Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
• Documents treatment and discharge plans and maintains progress records.
• Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.
