MedMark Treatment Centers in Columbus, GA is seeking a compassionate, full-time Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies.

The role involves individual and group counseling, crisis management, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to improve patient outcomes. A CAC/CADC I or higher certification is required, with prior experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current addiction/substance abuse certification or higher is required.
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; conduct direct service hours at regular intervals; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Familiarity with 12 Core Functions of Counseling and evidence-based practices.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments for intake and ongoing treatment planning.
• Conduct initial assessments and determine service eligibility.
