Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted programs and to provide group and individual sessions for opioid addiction recovery.

You will collaborate with doctors and therapists, review progress, and help develop and implement treatment plans in an outpatient clinic while maintaining professional documentation and a supportive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience counseling chemically dependent individuals is required.
• Must be able to conduct individual and group sessions with empathy.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and patient record keeping.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Coordinate care and present patient status to the treatment team.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans per state rules.
• Provide clinical services and education for opioid addiction treatment.
• Maintain excellent documentation and computer skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
