Groups in Manchester, TN (hybrid) is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to lead 3–4 daily group therapy sessions using an evidence-based curriculum and to collaborate with care teams. The role focuses on member-centered care within our recovery framework.

The position requires a Master’s degree in mental/behavioral health or active supervision for licensure, and comfort with EMR/Telehealth/Google tools, plus 2–3 evenings per week as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the mental/behavioral health discipline or be enrolled in a Master’s program.
  • Active supervision to obtain licensure (e.g., MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 & 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D.). RN & LPN acceptable with group leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Group Therapy.
  • High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products, mobile apps, etc.
  • Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
  • Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
  • Other preferred backgrounds includes mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, MAT.

What You’ll Do

  • Active or currently under supervision to obtain the following credentials: MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 & 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D. RN & LPN also acceptable with experience leading therapeutic groups & supporting documentation.
  • Experience leading Group Therapy.
  • High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
  • Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
  • Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
  • Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
