Job summary

Groups is seeking a Substance Use Counselor in Franklin, MA, to lead group therapy sessions and support recovery goals as part of member-centered care teams.

You will facilitate 3–4 one-hour groups daily, collaborate with prescribers and care navigators, and participate in community outreach while supporting a recovery-focused environment under a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active IN behavioral health license or certification (CADAC II-V, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LAC, LCAC-A) with ability to obtain reciprocity in other states.
• Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in SUD settings.
• Comfort with technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using approved modalities to meet members within clinical guardrails.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Salary range: $50,000-$70,000/ year *Based on experience, and education

Schedule

• Monday: 9:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM (Remote)
• Thursday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.

• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Qualifications

• Salary range: $50,000-$70,000/ year *Based on experience, and education Schedule:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• An active IN behavioral health license or certification including but not limited to: CADAC II - V, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LAC, LCAC-A and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states
• Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
