Job summary

WESTCARE GULFCOAST-FLORIDA INC is seeking counselors to deliver individual, group, and family counseling for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will complete psychosocial assessments, develop and update treatment plans, and document progress in a compliant manner.

The role involves crisis intervention, de-escalation, and participation in interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective discharge planning across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, or related field.
• CAP preferred certification may be required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reviews.
• Deliver services via secure distance platforms when appropriate and ensure consent and confidentiality.
