Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a counselor to develop and facilitate the Center's prevention program. Educates and counsels students to reduce drug-related separations from the program and develops individualized case management plans to support retention.

The role requires HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and experience in drug/alcohol counseling; CDAC certification or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets minimum state licensing or certification requirements to practice in the state where the center is located.
• A degree from an accredited school preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and facilitates the Center's alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program.
• Educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program.
• Develops individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success.
• Administers Center's drug testing program to promote a drug-free environment.
• Provides counseling and education to students individually and in groups.
