Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in Manassas, Virginia, is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our outpatient clinic. You will provide client-centered counseling, perform assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with opioid use disorder as part of evidence-based MAT.

You will collaborate with nurses and other providers, manage a caseload, and participate in required urine drug screens, with a schedule of 37-40 hours per week and Saturday rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
• Must have an active LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LSATP, or CSAC.
• Counselors shall be licensed by the applicable Virginia health regulatory board or by a nationally recognized certification board or eligible for this license.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
