Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling to highly complex patients, perform clinical assessments, design and update treatment plans, manage caseload, collaborate with nurses, and facilitate urine drug screening. The role supports outpatient, office-based clinics across several states.

The position offers a consistent schedule with early start times and a Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and ensures compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to deliver holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's Degree preferred

North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification board registration (LCAS, LCAS-A, LPC, CADC, or LCSW)
