Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medically assisted programs and deliver evidence-based therapies for opioid use disorder.

You will conduct group and individual sessions, assist with crisis management, and collaborate with doctors, nurses and therapists to optimize treatment. Maryland licensure (ADT/CAC-AD/CSC-AD/LCPC/LCSW/LCADC) and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Maryland license or certification required from the State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual assessments and evaluation interviews for service eligibility.
• Involve families and significant others in patient’s recovery process.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews the initial treatment plan with each patient.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Maryland counseling licenses (ADT/CAC-AD/CSC-AD/LCPC/LCSW/LGADC/LCADC)
