Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced CAD designer for subsea systems in Houston. You will create 3D parametric models of jumpers, manifolds, PLEMs, and related components, and develop drawings for concept through detailed design.

Responsibilities include drafting support planning, delivering drawings on schedule, and coordinating with the design team. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with extensive Autodesk software expertise required.

Qualifications

5+ years of working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (v2018+).
10+ years of working knowledge of AutoCAD (v2013+).
10+ years of structural/mechanical design experience.
Experience with NAVISWORKS Manage or Freedom.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Ability to plan, prioritize and solve challenging problems.
Team-oriented and able to work in a design group.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS.

Responsibilities

Create/modify 3D parametric models of subsea system components (jumppers, PLETs, PLEMs, manifolds).
Create/modify drawing deliverables for concept, FEED, and detailed design as required.
Plan and execute drafting support for assigned projects.
Engage with project personnel to deliver drawings on schedule and within budget.
Maintain status awareness of project drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
Participate in project/discipline meetings and workshops.
Provide input to continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply proper CAD data management per company processes.
Share lessons learned with design and project teams.
