Overview

The Draftsman is responsible for producing precise and detailed technical drawings across a variety of subsea projects and equipment, including intervention systems, rental equipment, source control, and manufactured components. The position is based from the Trendsetter office located in Houston, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings of piping, structural, and mechanical components using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design instructions to create accurate drawings.
• Develop and revise drawings based on redlines, markups, and feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to support design development and construction documentation.
• Assist in preparing drawing packages for quoting and proposals.
• Maintain and follow company’s processes for document control.
• Maintain version control and ensure proper documentation of revisions.
• Organize and archive files in accordance with company standards.
• Update as-built drawings based on field changes and construction modifications.
• Generate part numbers per company processes.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify design intent.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on drafting timelines and deliverables.
• Follow company HSE policies and procedures.
• Share knowledge & best practices across the company.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of drafting experience and/or training is required.
• To perform this job successfully, a strong working knowledge of Solidworks is preferred. Equivalent knowledge in other 3D CAD software is acceptable.
• Proficient using CAD software in generating detail drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as under direction.
