Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced CAD designer for subsea systems in Houston. You will create 3D parametric models of jumpers, manifolds, PLEMs, and related components, and develop drawings for concept through detailed design.

Responsibilities include drafting support planning, delivering drawings on schedule, and coordinating with the design team. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with extensive Autodesk software expertise required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (v2018+).
• 10+ years of working knowledge of AutoCAD (v2013+).
• 10+ years of structural/mechanical design experience.
• Experience with NAVISWORKS Manage or Freedom.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and solve challenging problems.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a design group.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS.

• Create/modify drawing deliverables for the purposes of concept, FEED, and detailed design as required by project(s)
• Effectively plan and execute required drafting support for project that have been assigned.
• Engage with project personnel to deliver drawings on schedule and within defined budget
• Maintain status awareness of project(s) drawings and coordinate delivery with other disciplines within design team
• Participate in project/discipline meetings and workshops
• Provide input to continuous improvement initiatives
• Utilise proper CADD data management practices per company processes and procedures.
• Share lessons learned with design team and project teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, version 2018 or newer.
• 10+ years of working knowledge of AutoCAD, version 2013 or newer.
• 10+ years of structural/mechanical design experience.
