Job summary

Anduril Industries in Rhode Island is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our new team in Quonset. You will drive supplier quality processes for sub-sea components, including battery systems, wet cables, and connectors, partnering with design and sourcing to ensure first-time quality.

You will lead PPAP, FMEA, and SCAR activities, perform supplier process development, audits, and qualification, and travel to supplier sites up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
• 2+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering experience in sub-sea electronics, wet cable manufacturing, and battery manufacturing environments.
• Experience in Electronic Top Level Assembly (TLA) and PCBA manufacturing processes, test methods & concepts, High voltage systems & Power electronics is a plus.
• Experience in scaling supplier capabilities from prototype to high-rate production.
• Experience flowing down Source Control requirements to Suppliers.
• Experience performing First Article Inspection to AS9102 and IPC standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design teams to support the design development process and generate product data for battery cells, systems, and power electronics.
• Leverage knowledge of electronics materials, DFM, and inspection techniques to support the internal design process and guide risk management.
• Drive supplier quality development through design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for sub-sea components.
• Collaborate with global sourcing and program management to deliver predictable supply for development and production programs.
• Lead supplier readiness activities, measurement systems, and qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, Audit).
• Audit supplier Quality Management Systems to ensure flow-down compliance with customer requirements.
• Prepare, support, and lead supplier onsite audits and reviews for contract deliverables.
