Job summary

Amica Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Subrogation Representative in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on investigation, negotiation and recovery of subrogation claims with supervision, starting with preparing new files for demands and advancing to backlog handling as experience grows.

The ideal candidate will review liability, identify parties, negotiate recoveries and maintain clear diaries, while delivering excellent customer service in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational, file management and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle conflicts.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prior subrogation knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate liability and damages to assess subrogation potential.
• Identify responsible party/parties and contribution potential.
• Review and determine best course of recovery.
• Negotiate subrogation recoveries with carriers, responsible parties and legal representatives.
• Update appropriate parties as needed with new information.
• Maintain diary systems and document key activities clearly.
• Manage expenses on files to assure cost-effective resolution.
• Maintain favorable relationships with claim offices.
• May handle other duties as required.
