Qualifications

• High School degree required; degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in subrogation recovery claims handling preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in adjusting claims preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to make fact-based decisions promptly.
• Independent thinker ready to work autonomously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills: Access, Excel, Word, AS400, Outlook, Internet research.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine party responsible for accident or damage.
• Research and obtain supporting documentation for all claim expenses.
• Prepare demands and negotiate settlements based on evaluation of arguments.
• Determine if outside vendor intervention is needed.
• Receipt and apply funds to ensure proper financial processing.
• Communicate with stakeholders on recovery status, resolution, and file closure.
• Identify process improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager.
