Qualifications

• High School degree or higher; degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in subrogation recovery claims handling preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in adjusting claims preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and the ability to make fact-based decisions in a timely manner.
• Independent thinker, self-starter, able to work and decide on your own.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills in Access, Excel, Word, AS400, Outlook, and Internet research.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and determine party responsible for accident or damage.
• Research and obtain supporting documentation for all expenses associated to the claim.
• Prepare demands and negotiate settlements based on evaluation of opposing arguments.
• Utilize best practices to determine if outside vendor intervention is needed.
• Receipt and application of funds to ensure proper financial processing by accounts receivable.
• Communicate with stakeholders on recover status, resolution, and closure of file.
• Identify process improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager.
