Job summary

Xylem is hiring a Shop Technician Level 1 in Malvern, PA to evaluate and repair submersible wastewater pumps with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in an industrial shop environment. The role requires the ability to work with various hand and power tools, operate a forklift, and travel as needed for training.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of technical experience and a HS diploma or equivalent, plus comfort using Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of technical work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair and test submersible wastewater pumps (Flygt) in shop/branch settings.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Operate forklift and cranes; use hand and power tools as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the work-order system and ensure safe shop practices.
