Job summary

Xylem, Inc. is hiring a Shop Technician Level 1 in Malvern, PA to evaluate and repair submersible wastewater pumps in a busy shop. You will perform mechanical and electrical testing and interact with customers as needed. The role includes travel and overtime possibilities in a dynamic industrial setting.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, up to 2 years of technical experience, and solid problem-solving skills. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision coverage, and a company savings plan.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps.
• Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment (forklift, overhead cranes).
• Use company tools and maintain accurate records in the work-order system.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and respect company property.
