Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat's Life Cycle Support division seeks a D403 Systems Test Engineer with extensive shipboard expertise to guide the creation and maintenance of LTD, ship systems manuals, and related documents for Ohio, Seawolf, Virginia, SSGN, and Columbia classes.

You will lead a writing group, coordinate with EB engineering and Navy customers, and ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures, while directing others to complete tasks and meet schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Submarine qualifications required per the role.
• DoD Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Guidance and oversight for LTD development.
• Ensure technical manuals meet published procedures.
• Resolve internal and external comments on LTD products.
• Interface with EB Engineering, shipyard, vendors, and Navy to address issues.
• Attend kickoff meetings and estimate department man-hours for updates.
• Set priorities, develop schedules, manage workload.
• Suggest and implement process improvements.
