Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a D272 Test Supervisor to lead daily testing activities for Nuclear Powered Submarine certifications. You will mentor test directors, ensure policy adherence, and coordinate with shipyard teams to plan, execute, and document critical tests.

Responsibilities include reviewing data, approving tagouts, and certifying results while maintaining logs and managing staffing and shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on leadership experience in a mechanical testing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor test staff and ensure policy adherence.
• Experience with safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex test programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Test Directors and technicians on shipyard tests.
• Plan OWL worklists 24 hours prior and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Review test data, authorize tagouts, and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Oversee certification of test forms and documentation for naval testing.
• Maintain logs and review labor charges and work orders for accuracy.
