Job summary

Amentum seeks a Sonar Technician with multi-platform Submarine ARCI experience to support our contract in Groton, CT. The role expects an active Secret clearance, strong electronics training, and the ability to work with naval systems across multiple submarine platforms.

On-site work with opportunities to contribute to maintenance manuals and test procedures. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, install and service systems at client sites, and assist in documentation and proposal

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• 5+ years of practical electronic experience or 3+ years with degree in electronics.
• Navy C School or equivalent training is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
• Assist in training others in operation and performance of systems.
• Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at company and client sites.
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, plans, specifications and test procedures.
• Develop technical data for maintenance manuals, troubleshooting procedures, and test reports.
• Direct on-site customer interface for equipment installation and testing.
• Establish filing systems and logs for tracking project status and inventory.
• Perform test, validation, and verification of electronic systems.
• Plan and coordinate work of other engineering technicians.
