Job summary
Amentum's Submarine Technical Support Center in Groton, CT seeks a highly experienced technician to support the U.S. Navy submarine fleet.
The role covers troubleshooting, testing, installation, repair/overhaul, and maintenance oversight for 688 and 774 Class systems, with emphasis on CSRR components and submarine communications. Applicants must hold a current Top Secret clearance, have extensive submarine experience, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.
Qualifications
- Six years of full-time engineering experience onboard submarines in operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of combat systems and/or weapons handling equipment.
- Active US Government Top Secret clearance is required.
- Excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
- Experience onboard LOS ANGELES Class and VIRGINIA Class submarines.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of CSRR components and subassemblies.
- In-depth knowledge of fleet maintenance practices and CSRR policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical services (troubleshooting, testing, operation, repair/overhaul, maintenance oversight, installation, training, grooming) for submarine systems.
- Support direct fleet operations and maintenance for 688 and 774 Class submarine systems.
- Ensure compliance with SCA and related regulations in daily work.
