Job summary

Serco seeks a Submarine Shipbuilding Improvement Engineer/Analyst to join the VIRGINIA Class/Team Submarine program offices. You will identify, plan, and implement improvements to accelerate efficiency, productivity, and safety in submarine construction projects at the Washington Navy Yard area, collaborating across engineering, production and quality teams.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, a engineering-related degree, and at least 5 years of submarine construction experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of submarine construction experience.
• Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvement initiatives to accelerate efficiency, productivity and safety.
• Lead cross‑functional projects from conception to completion within scope and budget.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies to reduce waste and cycle times.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data to support decisions and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, QA and other departments to align with goals.
• Manage changes effectively and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Implement digital tools for real‑time tracking of production activities.
