Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks a Test Engineer Submarine Operations Technical Lead to provide technical guidance and oversight of LTD products and ship system manuals.

You will work with D403 supervision and EB engineering to ensure accuracy and quality for shipboard use, directing a writing group and coordinating with Navy customers. A DoD Secret clearance is required. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and process improvement across disciplines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Submarine qualification (SS) Lieutenant or above OR Chief Petty Officer or above.
• 5+ years of experience related to operating, maintaining, or documenting submarine ship systems and procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of LTD products for ship systems.
• Ensure manuals meet published procedures and quality standards.
• Coordinate with EB Engineering, shipyards, vendors and Navy customers.
• Assist in estimating department man-hours and priority setting.
• Implement process improvements.
