Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Representative to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. The role focuses on managing fixtures for submarine construction, tracking procurement, and coordinating with Operations across shipyard meetings.

The ideal candidate has submarine construction or related maritime experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 1+ years in submarine construction, test, operations, maintenance or related maritime/military contracting operations.
• 1+ years of experience in Operations, Engineering, or Procurement / Supplier Management.
• 1+ years of Project coordination in manufacturing or military contracting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Aligning and tracking the scheduled design development, procurement, delivery, condition, implementation, refurbishment, and movement of all fixtures
• Coordinating with Operations to document requests for new, emergent fixture needs
• Represent the department at shipyard production meetings
• Early recognition of the need for multiple Fixture procurements to accommodate overlapping construction spans
