Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Waterfront Manufacturing Engineer to support the Columbia Class program. This role focuses on engineering and design construction support for submarines, developing build strategies and fixtures for fabricating and assembling ship components.

You will work with engineers, shipyard trades, vendors and planning teams across Groton, Quonset Point, and Newport News, with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-5 years post-graduate engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design construction support for submarines.
• Develop build strategies and fixtures for fabricating and assembling submarine components, structures and ship systems.
• Interact with engineers, shipyard trades, vendors, and planning representatives across Groton, Quonset Point and Newport News.
