Job summary

Noblis MSD is seeking an Engineer to support submarine auxiliary and machinery control systems at NSWCPD in Philadelphia. You will perform hands-on engineering, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation for critical propulsion and auxiliary systems on naval vessels.

The role combines lab testing, shipboard support, and cross-functional engineering to improve system reliability while coordinating with Navy personnel and contractors. Four days onsite with travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency reading/naval ship blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to produce artwork for technical documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenging technical issues.
  • U.S. Citizen; Secret clearance desired or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory and shipboard testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of submarine auxiliary machinery control systems.
  • Develop, execute, review, and revise engineering test plans, procedures, and test reports.
  • Analyze Fleet technical information to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, engineering drawings, and artwork for technical manuals.
  • Provide engineering support for design, installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and operation of submarine auxiliary and machinery systems.
  • Interpret naval ship blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support troubleshooting and system improvements.
  • Collaborate with Navy personnel, engineers, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system reliability.
