Job summary

Noblis MSD in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Control Systems Engineer to design and life-cycle manage shipboard control systems for US Navy/Coast Guard missions. You will conduct design, modeling, and integration for lab-tested systems, focusing on reliability and cybersecurity.

The role requires experience with NI, Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens STEP 7/TIA Portal, and strong PLC programming skills. Onsite with potential hybrid work; US citizenship and DoD secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years engineering experience.
Experience using National Instrument products (developing/integrating NI software with hardware).
Rockwell ControlLogix PLC programming using Ladder Logic and SCL.
Proficiency with test/diagnostic tools for industrial control systems.
Experience with Ethernet/IP and Serial communications protocols.
Active DoD secret security clearance or ability to obtain clearance; US citizen.
CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain within three months).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modeling, and lifecycle management of naval shipboard control systems in a lab environment.
PLC engineering development using National Instruments, Rockwell Studio 5000, and Siemens STEP 7/TIA Portal.
Develop equipment integration designs for networking and SCADA systems and related tools.
Implement cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
Develop interfaces, databases, device interfaces and analytical tools.
Support shipboard deployment and validation of control systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation packages.
