General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT offers a Life Cycle Support (LCS) Engineering Summer Internship for Summer 2027. The program provides hands-on exposure to submarine systems, fleet support, and engineering analysis with mentorship from senior engineers.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an engineering degree, be 18+, US citizenship, and able to pass a drug screen and background check. The internship runs for eight weeks, 40 hours per week, between May and September 2027.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Must be enrolled full-time in a college or university.
• Must have completed freshman year prior to internship start.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for eight consecutive weeks May–Sept 2027.
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Ocean, Marine, Electrical, Nuclear, Systems, Facilities, Energy, Chemical Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Support Existing Fleet and New Construction through analyses of submarine ship systems, components, materials, drawings and specifications.
• Technical review of all Integrated Logistics Support products related to alterations and upgrades.
• Coordinate and issue responses to emergent fleet issues via Liaison Action Requests for all submarine classes and disciplines.
• Develop design modernization drawings and calculations for installation of new and upgraded systems and equipment.
