Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking an engineering professional to support new submarine construction projects, coordinating with Waterfront Engineering, Design, Quality, and NAVSEA. You will work within the HM&E test program team to manage retest activities, coordinate with shipyards, and support audits and sea trials.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or higher required.
• At least 2 years of design, construction support, and/or testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate trade work to determine retesting requirements and issue HM&E test procedures.
• Provide deck plate support and manage VIRGINIA and/or COLUMBIA hulls through PSA and Technical Availability programs.
• Assist the Chief Test Engineer in identifying retest requirements and coordinating at-sea tests as needed.
• Support Ship Certification, NAVSEA audits, and participation in Sea Trials as required.
