Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton seeks an Engineer II – Non Nuclear Test to support Columbia-New Construction & PSA. You will be part of the Joint Test Group (JTG) managing HM&E test programs for submarine build, interfacing with Operations, Waterfront Engineering, Design, Quality, and NAVSEA.

The role involves evaluating test procedures, retest decisions, and supporting sea trials; occasional overtime coverage is required to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or marine disciplines preferred).
• 2-5 years post-graduate experience in submarine design, construction support and/or testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating trade work performed to determine necessary retesting for system/ component recertification, HM&E test procedures, and test procedure configuration control.
• Troubleshooting and deck-plate support for certification testing and managing projects for Columbia Class Hulls for New Construction thru PSA and Technical Availabilities.
