Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Engineer - Non Nuclear Test to support HM&E testing for submarine construction projects in Groton, CT. The role involves direct technical support to waterfront personnel, coordinating with Navy customers and shipyard teams to execute the HM&E test program.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, manage test procedures, and participate in key milestone events and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years submarine design, construction support and/or testing experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to collaborate with multiple organizations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate trades to determine retesting needs and issue HM&E test procedures.
• Troubleshoot and provide deck plate support during certification testing and manage related projects.
• Assist D272 CTE in retest requirements and support ship certification activities.
• Occasionally participate in Sea Trials and support the At-Sea test program.
• Collaborate with shipyard management, operations, design, quality, NAVSEA and customer representatives.
