Job summary

VTG is seeking a Submarine Electronic Technician 2 to support multiple AIT projects. You will perform layout and mechanical assembly for submarine racks and CANES-related equipment, install copper and fiber optic cabling, and conduct comprehensive testing to verify performance.

You will analyze data, report findings, and ensure system readiness prior to testing events. The role requires a BS/AS in electronics with relevant experience (or a comparable background) and willingness to travel; MS

Qualifications

• BS in electronics with 3+ years of related experience or AS with 4+ years.
• Equivalent combination of education and related experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and mechanical assembly for submarine racks and CANES-related equipment.
• Install copper and fiber optic cabling on submarine and shipboard platforms.
• Conduct testing: continuity, megger, fiber tests, voltage frisks and inspections.
• Analyze test data to assess system performance and surface potential issues.
• Complete technical reports and objective quality documentation.
• Verify functionality of installed equipment prior to System Operational Verification Testing.
