Job summary

Amentum seeks a C4I Electronic Engineering Technician in Groton, Connecticut. The role focuses on submarine C4I systems, including CANES/CSRR experience, cable testing, and troubleshooting in a demanding naval environment.

Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain Top Secret. Travel up to 25% may be required, with flexibility in tasking schedules. This is a contingent opening under the Service Contract Act with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• US citizenship required to maintain Secret clearance.
• 5 years of practical experience with HS diploma, or 3 years with Associate’s degree, or formal electronics training.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• CANES and/or CSRR experience onboard US Navy submarines.
• Familiarity with installing C4I systems onboard US Navy submarines.
• Strong electrical/communications background with troubleshooting connectors and cable testing.
• Experience with operational cable/connector test equipment.
• Experience with fiber cable testing and repair.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and system documentation for C4I installations.
• Support System Operability Verification Testing (SOVT).
• Conduct site inspections to assess production status.
• Perform research to support evolutions, critique resolutions, and issue mitigation.
• Create cable test plans and perform onsite cable validation testing.
• Perform collateral duties as required by NIWC AIT-M.
