Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI is seeking an Electrical Engineer I/II to provide systems technical leadership for VIRGINIA Class construction activities at the EB Quonset Point facility.

You will resolve design issues, troubleshoot construction problems, verify as-built dimensions, and support manufacturing operations while communicating assessments with Operations, Planning and ship management organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems technical leadership for electrical construction activities for VIRGINIA Class submarines.
• Resolve design issues and troubleshoot construction problems.
• Support manufacturing operations and verify as-built configurations.
• Communicate engineering assessments to Operations, Planning, and management.
• Relay shipyard priorities to engineering groups.
