Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer in Groton, CT to design, develop, test, and deliver electrical systems for US Navy submarines. The role involves interfacing with customers, reviewing diagrams, and supporting installation and testing in a shipyard environment.

Candidates should have a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, 10+ years of post-graduate engineering experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or similar electrical education (BS degree).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Clearance
  • 10 or more years of post graduate engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review changes to electrical system diagrams including system interfaces
  • Evaluate electrical cableways design and routing drawings
  • Troubleshoot issues identified by construction team
  • Write procedures to test and maintain electrical systems
  • Interface with internal customers to ensure the system is installed to plan
  • Work with operations to support installation and test
