Job summary

Serco Inc. in Rockville, MD, invites highly motivated graduates to join the Keel to Career program as a Submarine Development Professional supporting the US Navy's Columbia program.

You'll rotate through engineering, design, and procurement domains, gain exposure to submarine construction, materials, acoustics, and quality assurance, and receive mentorship to advance your career in a defense-focused technical environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
• At least one year in an accredited university’s engineering, technology, computer science or science.
• Interest in shipbuilding.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a job rotational program to learn various aspects of submarine engineering, design, research and development.
• Engage with structural systems, materials, electrical and electronic systems, propulsion machinery, acoustics, and other submarine support areas.
• Gain familiarity with submarine construction, quality assurance programs, and Navy risk management programs.
• Assist in timely design and acquisition decisions and interface with experts and stakeholders.
• Receive mentorship to support resume development, interview techniques, and job searches.
