Job summary

Synchron, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing/Production Support Engineer to support the Navy Submarine Shipbuilding Program at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. You will directly support PMS 397 and assist in the design and production of the Columbia-class submarines, helping shape future undersea warfare capabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 5 years in manufacturing/production support, and an active DoD Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production support.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively.
  • Ability to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedules.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data driven processes and standards for KPI’s and capacity planning.
  • Evaluate existing design of hardware and propose changes to improve manufacturability and profitability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, supply chain, and finance to develop operational plans and capacity.
  • Execute cost savings initiatives to meet annual goals.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation needed by the project group.
  • Interface with engineering, quality, purchasing, and production control to align work instructions.
