Job summary

ORBIS Inc. in Groton, CT seeks a Transformation Management Office leader to drive submarine construction performance. You will manage a 20+ person team, monitor deck-plate progress, and coordinate with Navy and Shipbuilder leaders to resolve delays and quality issues.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, strong communication, and deep experience in project management within a nuclear shipyard, facilitating rapid issue resolution and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience in ship maintenance/construction management in a Nuclear Shipyard.
• Ability to travel up to 100% to Groton and Quonset Point locations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, and communicate the scope, status and impact of construction delays or quality issues to Navy and Shipbuilder leadership.
• Lead a 20+ person team onsite to ensure timely deck-plate progress and resolve barriers.
• Collaborate with Shipbuilder, Navy, and program offices to drive issues to resolution.
• Develop process improvement recommendations and opportunities for improvement (OFI) with stakeholders.
