Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering in San Diego, CA seeks a Submarine Sonar Technician to support U.S. Navy submarines under SWRMC. You will oversee repair activities and maintain RTAHS and TLTA systems.

Required are a Navy Submarine A School, 6+ years related experience, a Fiber Optics Technician Certificate, and strong reading/comprehension and communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Navy Submarine A School.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience with associated systems.
• Fiber Optics Technician Certificate.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining communication systems.
• Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret manuals and standards.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain RTAHS and TLTA.
• Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain documentation.
