Job summary

Arcfield in Newport, RI seeks a Test Engineer with hands-on experience with the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control System to help build the Submarine Combat System for the USN and Royal Australian Navy. Experience with AN/BYG-1 subsystems is preferred and the team collaborates to deliver critical national security capabilities.

You will conduct subsystem and system testing, write clear bug reports, mentor junior testers, and report metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Formal testing experience in a DoD production delivery environment.
• Experience working with local and remote test team members.
• Strong communication using Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools.
• Experience with SWFTS submarine community is a plus.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting subsystem and system of systems testing.
• Working in an Agile environment with engineers across the program to verify deliveries to the Navy.
• Analyzing how software meets system, functional and performance requirements.
• Communicating and resolving issues with engineers from other subsystems.
• Investigate test failures and determine root-cause.
• Write clear and concise bug reports and verify fixes.
• Mentor junior test engineers.
• Determine and report testing metrics to stakeholders.
• Support all tasking assigned by the Test Lead.
