Job summary

MIKEL is seeking a Systems Engineer I/II – Combat Systems Integration in Middletown, RI to lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of AN/BYG-1 combat control environments in lab and shipboard test bays.

You will troubleshoot complex hardware and software configurations, coordinate across disciplines, and produce clear technical documentation for ongoing test events and development builds. This role requires travel and readiness for occasional shifts to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System experience.
• FT or submarine combat systems experience.
• Experience in complex systems integration and troubleshooting.
• Advanced Linux OS and command-line skills.
• Ability to coordinate across technical organizations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute test bay installations, configurations, and grooming per PMS-425.
• Provide real-time on-call technical support for test bays.
• Diagnose software, hardware, and network issues and implement fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation and communicate status to teams.
