Job summary

Arcfield in Newport, RI seeks a Test Engineer with hands-on experience with the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control System to help build the Submarine Combat System for the USN and Royal Australian Navy. Experience with AN/BYG-1 subsystems is preferred and the team collaborates to deliver critical national security capabilities.

You will conduct subsystem and system testing, write clear bug reports, mentor junior testers, and report metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Formal testing experience in a DoD production delivery environment.
• Experience working with local and remote test team members.
• Strong communication using Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools.
• Experience with SWFTS submarine community is a plus.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

Roles And Responsibilities

Desired Experience And Capabilities

• Formal testing experience with a DoD production delivery environment
• Experience working proactively with local and remote test team members
• Solid verbal and written communications skills using Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools
• Working knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Experience working in the SWFTS submarine community
• Communication among your peers and up the chain
• Recognition of relevant information, and clear communication of issues and alternatives

Qualifications

• BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
• Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area or field or the equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• US Navy Submarine Fire Control or SONAR Technician (FT/STS) experience is REQUIRED!
• Must possess and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Min: $64,842.27 Max: $112,748.12
