Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Submarine Sonar Technician (ARCI / Multi-platform) to support ARCI sonar systems aboard U.S. submarines in Portsmouth, NH. This role involves installation, testing, maintenance, validation, and certification tasks to ensure high-reliability performance for Fleet deployments.

Qualified candidates will have an Active Secret clearance and 5+ years of relevant experience. Occasional travel of 10-15% is expected, with on-site duties at Navy submarine facilities.

Qualifications

• Active Secret US Government Clearance required.
• 5+ years of job-related experience or equivalent after Navy C School.
• Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and software.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in hardware and software.
• Ability to travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, validate, and service sonar equipment and ARCI systems aboard U.S. submarines.
• Execute test and evaluation, system check-outs, certifications, and verifications.
• Review Engineering Change Proposals for technical impacts.
• Assist in implementing Engineering Change Instructions.
• Develop PMS documentation, manuals, troubleshooting guides, and test reports.
• Provide subject matter expertise to support systems engineering.
