Job summary

Amentum in Portsmouth, NH is seeking Submarine Technicians (FT, ST, ET, IT) with real submarine experience. We invite transitioning service members to apply for a role supporting NAVSEA and DoD, delivering reliable maintenance ashore and continued Fleet readiness.

You will install, maintain, test, and certify AN/BVY-1 ISIS and RADAR systems on U.S. submarines, work with engineering teams, and contribute to documentation and compliance while earning competitive SCA-based pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Five years of practical experience with submarine C5I systems/equipment or degree/formal training plus three years.
• Experience in maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Install, validate, and service ISIS and RADAR systems aboard U.S. submarines.
• Troubleshoot, perform corrective actions, and electronic system verifications.
• Review and support engineering change proposals and instructions.
• Assist in creating technical data, manuals, maintenance procedures, and drawing updates.
• Maintain documentation, logs, databases, and project tracking systems.
• Support engineering teams in installation, calibration, repair, fabrication, testing, and operation of electronic/mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and documentation requirements.
• Provide technical evaluations for components, installations, and system performance.
